The Superintendent Bootcamp is tailored to enhance the knowledge base of construction professionals aspiring to advance their careers. This course is perfect for field and project engineers, forepersons, assistant superintendents and anyone eager to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the commercial construction process. These sessions offer an intensive exploration of constructing a project from inception to completion.
Unit 1: Sitework and Foundations
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 - 5:30PM MT, August 27 through September 24
- Session 1: Project Set-Up, Surveying & Layout
- Session 2: Excavation, Site Utilities
- Session 3: Foundations with Geotech Report
- Session 4: Stormwater, Erosion Control, and Dewatering
- Session 5: Underground MEP, Below Slabs, Flat Work
- Session 6: Scheduling
- Session 7: Shoring Systems, Structural Shotcrete, Blindside Waterproofing
Unit 2: Core & Shell
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 - 5:30PM, October 8 through October 29
- Session 1: Cast-In-Place Concrete / Post Tensioned Concrete
- Session 2: Structural Steel / Precast Concrete
- Session 3: Wood Structures, Modular Systems and Roofing Systems
- Session 4: Stucco, EIFS, Exterior Metal Panels and Cementitious Siding
- Session 5: Proper Weather Barrier Installation, Dry In: Glass and Glazing
- Session 6: Masonry
- Session 7: Major Equipment
Unit 3: Finishes and Building Systems
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 - 5:30PM MT, November 7 through December 3
- Session 1: HVAC, Plumbing & MEP
- Session 2: Specialty: Kitchens, Laundries, Science Labs, Bathrooms
- Session 3: Fire Alarms, Fire Sprinklers, Smoke Detection
- Session 4: Healthcare Facilities and Infection Control
- Session 5: Tile & Stone / Flooring Finishes
- Session 6: Hardscapes / Landscapes
- Session 7: Closeout
