CANCELLED - Construction Master Pro Calculator Course - October 17 through November 19 - Online or In-Person
This course empowers you to confidently utilize the Construction Master Pro calculator, enhancing your productivity. Experience live learning in a hybrid classroom that combines technology to connect with remote students and the option for in-person attendance. The curriculum covers Site Work, Foundations, Carpentry, Finishing, Commercial Construction, and Advanced Problem-Solving.
Session 1: Introduction + Scaling Distances, Calculating Areas + Sitework
This session will concentrate on the keystrokes required for inputting fractional dimensions in feet and inches for site work calculations, including civil elevations, areas, and volumes.
Session 2: Footings, Slabs, & Walls
This session will expand on the initial one by incorporating exercises related to building foundations, including footings, concrete slabs, and walls.
Session 3: Carpentry Framing: Walls, Rafters and Stairs
During this session, students will be taught to calculate stud counts, board feet, rafter lengths, level and plumb angles, roof jack lengths, and the rise, run, and stringer calculations for stairs.
Session 4: Masonry + Roofing + Drywall
This session covers skills for calculating materials such as bricks, blocks, pavers, and tiles, as well as roof areas with slope considerations. It also includes methods for determining the number of drywall sheets needed for a given wall area.
Session 5: Commercial Construction + Advanced Problems
This session will concentrate on workbook exercises that involve concrete, wood, steel, framing, trim carpentry, rigging, and surveying.
Please note: Registration does not include the calculator. A Construction Master Pro calculator, model 4065 v3.1 is recommended for this class.

The Instructor:
Dan Rondinelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University and has been constructing commercial projects for 34 years. Additionally, since 1999, he has taught plan reading, quantity take-off, and estimating at CSU on a part-time basis.
Dan possesses a "Class A: contractor's license in the City and County of Denver and is a Certified Cost Professional. Outside of building and teaching, Dan spends his time in his woodshop, engaging in hands-on craftsmanship.
