Introduction to Blueprint Reading - Online and Live - September 2 through September 30
This 24 hour class teaches the basic skills needed to read and interpret a set of blueprints. Students will come away with a solid understanding of commercial blueprint reading, and will prepared to develop proficiency in blueprint reading with continued practice.
Textbook and plans are provided and the instructor will cover:
Blueprint drawings and specifications
Symbols and conventions
CSI divisions
Use of Architect's Scale and Engineer's Scale
Civil, Sitework, Utilities
Structural Steel
Reinforced concrete
Building finishes construction
HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Contract documents
Registration includes textbook and printed materials.
Students are responsible for purchase of an Architect's scale and an Engineer's scale. Resources to purchase these items can be found on registration receipt.
